JAKE & THE KID is set in the 1940s & 50s, inspired by a collection of short stories by W.O. Mitchell, of a boy growing up on a farm in fictional Crocus, Saskatchewan. Jake (Shaun Johnston) is the hired hand who helps the Kid’s mother (Patricia Harras) run the farm and keeps the Kid (Benedict Campbell) abreast of events in the greater world and in Crocus.
